Binghamton Preparatory School is a non-public school offering standard and accelerated curricula to kindergarten through sixth grade students. 7th grade through 12th grade standard and accelerated curricula are offered by Binghamton Preparatory High School Project ("BPHSP"), an entity unto itself, separate and apart from Binghamton Preparatory School.

The 7-12 Supplementary English Curriculum reinforces and complements the American School of Correspondence English curriculum and is mandatory for all BPHSP participants.

BPHSP is not a high school as such. It does not operate under the auspices of the New York State Education Department. BPHSP is an administrative, instructional, and supportive framework designed to facilitate completion of independent study correspondence high school curricula. Currently the only correspondence curriculum supported by BPHSP is that offered by the American School of Correspondence ("American School").
